Russian delegation to be headed by deputy formin at consultations in Tallinn
TALLINN, Jan 12, BNS - Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov, who will also meet with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet, will head the Russian delegation at political consultations in Tallinn next week.
The political consultations between Estonia and Russia will take place on January 23 in Tallinn, with the Estonian delegation to be headed by Foreign Ministry State Secretary Marten Kokk and the Russian delegation by Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov, a spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry told BNS.
She said that the usual topics, such as bilateral relations, regional cooperation, the European Union and international issues would be discussed at the meeting.
The spokeswoman said that of bilateral relations several agreements between Estonia and Russia would be discussed, such as a cooperation agreement on the prevention and control of emergency situations and a new social insurance treaty would apparently also be discussed.
Paet's and Titov's joint dinner has also been scheduled for January 23.
The two countries' foreign ministers agreed on political consultations at their meeting on December 5 during a meeting of OSCE foreign ministers in Helsinki on December 5.
